Prime fishing dates at our best South American multi-species fishing destination are still available. Anglers commonly land 25 to 30 peacock bass in the morning along with 10- to 20-pound payara (silver, saber-toothed fighters on steroids) in the afternoon and numerous other species including giant arapaima, pacu, sardinata, corbina, and five varieties of catfish. This is the most abundant, productive multi-species fishing we have ever experienced.
Caño Negro Lodge is situated within a 4.5-million-acre nature preserve and jaguar sanctuary. This unspoiled fishing area in northeast Bolivia is home to exotic orchids and other rare, tropical plants and plentiful wildlife. Jaguar, capybara, river otters, caiman, macaws, parrots, Maguari storks, pygmy geese and ducks provide excellent photographic opportunities.
Anglers may opt for a fishing/hunting combination trip by continuing to LasPalomas Lodge for predictably exceptional dove and pigeon shooting. The lodge is one of the most-repeated bird hunting destinations Rod & Gun offers. Bolivian bird shooting rivals anything in Argentina with half the travel time involved. The dove/pigeon hunting, described as super-high volume, is superb early May through early November. Shooters commonly expend 50 to 80 boxes of shells per day.
Fishing is priced at $4495 for four days fishing or $5895 for six days fishing. The price includes the round-trip air charter between Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and Caño Negro Lodge.
The fishing/shooting combination is priced at $6195 for three days fishing and three days hunting and includes the charter flight from Santa Cruz to the fishing lodge and later to the hunting lodge.
You may choose to fish or hunt only. Contact us for hunting-only pricing.
