Lawyer Creek Canyon’s six miles of extraordinary beauty offers incomparable hiking opportunities. Lewis and Clark left their horses here with Nez Perce Indians Twisted Hair and Broken Arm before they took to the river in canoes to paddle to the mouth of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean. When they returned here to Broken Arm's lodge, they camped for three days on the lower flat, staying in Indian tipis. The canyon is named for Chief Lawyer, Twisted Hair's son.

Horseback riding, shooting sporting clays and numerous other non-hunting activities.

Whitewater rafting is another primary activity. The Lochsa River, located in North Central Idaho’s Clearwater National Forest, is one of the most dramatically stunning rivers in the Northern Rockies. The steep green cedar and fir-forested slopes are teeming with wildlife. The section of the Lochsa that you will raft has a gradient, or drop, of about 40 feet per mile. The rapids contain large standing waves and incredible circulating holes. The one-day trip covers about 22 miles and 40 class III-IV+ rapids. Included with the trip is a full lunch on the banks of the river and a wetsuit, booties, helmet, etc. to wear in the boat.

Guests also enjoy whitewater jet boating on the Salmon & Snake Rivers. Rapids called Snow Hole, The Slide, Sluice Box, Waterspout, Granite Creek and Wild Sheep and a hundred others make the Salmon and Snake Rivers of Hell’s Canyon the premier whitewater jet boating in North America. The rivers are wild, the scenery, history and wildlife unforgettable. See and experience ancient history, petroglyphs and pictographs out of reach of other outfitters. This is an in-depth and personalized trip.
