The camp has been described in magazines as “haute roughing it” and “an adventure camp for millionaires.” Its nicest amenity is the spectacular view of the bay, mountains and Chiginagak volcano from its hillside location. A maximum of nine guests stay in generous state-of-the-art Weatherport shelters, with high-tech hot water and drinking water systems, commercial stainless steel kitchen and a main lodge/gathering area with wood-burning stove and bar.

And the meals... the kitchen staff here is legendary for their ability to produce fabulous dining in the middle of the wilderness — items like grilled New York strips, salmon Bearnaise, wild mushroom and spinach soup, alder-smoked pork loin, fresh seafood pastas, home-baked biscuits, pies, cakes and many other delectable dishes. The bar is well stocked and the wine flows freely.
